In addition to our extensive knowledge of the law, our team has taken the time to study and understand the special circumstances of family law and how it affects individuals, families and even corporate structures. Our attorneys are equipped with economics degrees, MBAs, CPAs, LLMs, and are ready to guide you carefully through the difficult matters of family law.

Kerry Lavelle formed Lavelle Law, Ltd. in 1989 as a private practice. Today, the firm has grown to a total of eight attorneys and professional support staff. Attorney Amil Alkass has extensive experience in the practice of law, ranging from his own private practice to positions with some of the largest law firms in Chicago. Amil has been admitted to the Bar of the Illinois Supreme Court, Northern District and is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Kerry Lavelle is an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School and is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, having served as Chairman of a number of committees dealing with matters of taxation. Despite his extensive involvement in professional and community activities, Kerry continues to directly handle many clients in his practice.
